Citrus limetta rossa di Rangpur is a cross between the Citrus limetta and the orange and tangerine. Also known as the sweet lime, orange lime and sweet lemon.
The delicious sweet and special tasting citrus fruit is not an everyday fruit and often poorly available.
These citrus fruits are about the size of a tangerine, flat-shaped and yellow in color.
Furthermore, the blossom of course smells fantastic as with all other citrus.
The sweet scent of the leaves and blossoms of this limetta betray which fruit setting will soon appear.
In the spring from the end of April, the Citrus limetta rossa di Rangpur can go outside again, after there is certainly no chance of frost anymore.
Now the water requirement may also be increased again, but keep it moderate (do not give too much).
Also add liquid fertilizer to the plant in the irrigation water every 3 weeks, from April to the end of September. It will react immediately and new shoots will start to grow.
If shoots grow too long for your liking, prune the citrus back in the fall. This way you keep a desired shape. In the winter, let the citrus plant overwinter frost-free in a place that is as light as possible.
Little watering, once a month is sufficient. No more fertilization.
Winter hardiness zone 11 (+ 2ºC).
