Agapanthus praecox or African lily originates from South Africa. It is a very easy plant that does not require separate requirements. This is the real Praecox with the large flower clusters, not the Agapanthus africanus with the much smaller flowers.
This African lily gets fresh green leaves that can grow up to 60 cm high, the inflorescence can be up to 100/150 cm high.

A place in the full sun on your terrace and you get beautiful blue or white inflorescences in return.
The Cape Lily needs to be repotted about every 3 years. The leaf of the Agapanthus Praecox remains green in the winter.
Never give water during the winter. Only in the spring from mid-April to bring the cockpit out again. From this period on, the Cape Lily can receive a small donation every three weeks until September.

Overwintering at a temperature above + 5 ° C is fine. A single night frost is no problem, afterwards the tub to get inside for overwintering. Remove ugly leaves in the spring, after which the plant starts to create fresh green leaves again.
