Thunbergia battiscombei is a tropical climbing plant that can climb up to a height of 4 meters and becomes 250 cm wide.
However, it is easy to keep in check by pruning. Pruning can take place in the fall, just before the plant goes in to overwinter.
It is a tropical plant that likes to be in partial shade, if it prefers no bright afternoon sun.

This climber gets deep blue flowers all year round in his natural habitat.
With us he also blooms for most of the year, from early spring until he has to go inside.
As a houseplant he is also good to keep, but make sure he gets enough light.
The plant climbs up against bamboo sticks and will soon grow completely closed. The bottom shoots latch over time.
In the summer, the plant can get plenty of water and little in winter.
The Thunbergia battiscombei is not hardy and hibernate at a temperature of at least + 5ºC or warmer is optimal. The plants are overwintered by us and do not have any leaves from the end of October until the beginning of April. The plant will grow out of the roots again in the spring.
Winter hardness zone 10b (+ 2ºC).
