Ixora chinensis is a shrub-shaped tropical flowering perennial originating from East Asia.
Can be kept as a houseplant and can be planted outside in the spring and summer if desired.
Ixora chinensis is a rewarding and long-flowering plant. The flower clusters are light orange to orange in color and up to 10 cm in diameter.
The height of the plant in a pot will be a maximum of 100 cm, in nature up to 200 cm.

The leaves, flowers and roots of the plant are also used for medicinal purposes. A decoction of the root is used against bronchial diseases. Leaves and flowers are used for headaches.
Is happy in well-drained, slightly moist potting soil. A partially shaded place is ideal. Water regularly during warmer days. Once every 3 weeks a small gift food for flowering plants during the growing season.
