Passiflora edulis f. edulis or passionfruit gets very tatsty edible fruits. These fruits are 5 cm long and 4 cm wide. The color of the fruit is purple and it tastes fresh and sweet.
The passion fruit can be cut through the middle and then consume the contents with a spoon.
The Passiflora edulis is self-pollinating, from the second year young plants get their flowers for the first time.

Give the Passiflora edulis fertilization in time from the spring and during the summer.
The flower of the Passiflora edulis is pink / purple in color which overflows to white. Except that the fruits are edible it is a very rewarding bloomer.
The leaf is 3 lobed and up to 20-25 cm.
It grows on green hairless stems that can grow to over 8 meters long.
By pruning the passion plant is fine to keep short or in any shape that you would like. 

The passion fruit can winter without problems in a cold greenhouse or on a windowsill.
If the plant grows too large, cut off the excess leaves and let stand at least 30 cm or more, in the spring the plant grows again.
