Plumbago auriculata is also called mannendrouw. This plant is suitable for in a tub, but also the soil is fine provided protection in moderate frost.
It is a climbing plant that blooms for a very long time, from late May to September.
The beautiful blue flowers have something like the Phlox.
The leaves are light green in color.  

This deciduous climbing plant needs a bit of help with climbing. In a tub it will be up to 150 cm high.
In the open ground it can be more than 3 meters.
During flowering, fertilize regularly with, for example, liquid plant fertilizer and keep the soil reasonably moist.
In winter, do not let the tub dry out and let it hibernate in a cool frost-free place.  
Plant can be pruned back from October onwards if desired. Protect clod and stump from frost in winter. 
And from mid-April slowly increase the fertilization.
