Rosmarinus officinalis Prostratus or rosemary is a versatile plant for the garden. Rosmarinus means "Dew of the sea" and betrays all its origin from the dunes and coastal regions.

Rosemary is a delicious herb to use in the kitchen for roasting and grilling (bbq) and can be harvested throughout the year.
With this, you can fine-tune your Mediterranean dishes.
The rosemary is also widely used for fragrant articles such as products in the bathroom and scented bags etc.
Rosmarinus officinalis Prostratus gets soft blue flowers and creeps, as it were. The branches hang down, this in contrast to the ordinary Rosmarinus officinalis, the ordinary rosemary grows more upwards.

The flowering period is May / June and sometimes also July.
Rosemary does not like standing in a wet spot in the garden and likes to have a lot of sun.
The plant is evergreen and fairly hardy in a sheltered place, at least no problem in our climate with the last winters.
Winter hardiness zone 8a (-12ºC).
